Greenwood Forest Baptist Church ordained Rev. Kadeisha Bonsu on January 20, 2019. Kadeisha was recommended for ordination to the congregation at Greenwood Forest by an ordination council from five different churches and institutions. The congregation voted unanimously to move forward with her ordination, which was conducted by the laying on of hands last Sunday. The service was filled with both challenge and joy for all who were gathered on Sunday night!
Rev. Bonsu expressed the following note of thanks to the congregation:
I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to my GFBC Family for being a part of my ordination service. It was a great joy to worship with you all for this special service, and I am grateful for your presence, prayers, and love! I gives thanks to GFBC for the opportunities that you continue to present me with to grow in my call and continue to say “yes” to God. Know that this place will always be a special part of my ministry no matter where God takes me. I especially want the children to know that I love them and that it truly blessed me when they participated in the “laying of hands.” To my colleagues in ministry, it is a joy to serve with you all; each of you give me hope and the courage to go forward. To the choir and praise team, thank you for giving God “Total Praise” alongside me and for helping me to remember that surely God is a “Faithful” “Waymaker.” Thank you everyone!
