Once again, we will celebrate women in the pulpit this February by hearing from four talented proclaimers. This year's lineup includes our own Rev. Lauren Efird and Rev. Robin Hardison along with two guest preachers. We are very excited to welcome these women into our pulpit and to continue this church's history of strongly affirming the role of women in the Church.
February 7: Rev. Lin Story-Bunce is Associate Minister of Youth at College Park Baptist in Greensboro, North Carolina. Along with leading College Park's youth faith formation program, Rev. Story-Bunce is also a gifted preacher. She received her B.A. from Campbell and her M.Div. from Wake Forest Divinity School.
February 14: Rev. Robin Hardison is our Minister of Children and Missions and has been an integral part of our ministerial staff for almost three years. Robin leads faith formation for children from birth through 5th grade and their families, as well as guiding our church's mission activities.
February 21: Rev. Lauren Efird is our Minister of Youth and Congregational Care and has been a part of our ministerial staff for four years. Lauren emphasizes in-depth discipleship and community in our Youth Ministry and brings her experience as a chaplain to pastoral care.
February 28: Rev. Rose Cornelious is the Development Director at Dorcas Ministries, one of our most important local mission partners here in Cary. Prior to that, Rose served as a chaplain at WakeMed Hispital in Raleigh and University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. In her variolus roles she has raised money for missionaries overseas and preached in over 100 churches in the U.S. Rose has her B.A. in Public Administration from Augastana College, a Master of Science in Business from Florida Institute of Technology, and an M.Div. and D.Min. from North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago.
