This month, our Narthex will feature a photography exhibit called Small Ships with Large Hearts created by Tacy Surrett. The exhibit is filled with the incredible stories of refugees from around the world. See the note below from Tacy about the exhibit:
"As I thought of what I would do for my Girl Scout Gold Award Project, I knew I was passionate about three things: Writing, helping others, and refugees."
Small Ships With Large Hearts is an exhibit filled with the incredible stories of refugees from around the world. Created by a Junior in High School, Small Ships With Large Hearts developed while Tacy and her family still lived in Ankara, Turkey. After interviewing, reading about, and watching videos about refugees, Tacy wrote 8 monologues/poems and took 12 portraits in order to educate, engage, and inspire others with the courageous journeys that refugees endure every day. Come join us and get lost in the beauty of these stories!"
