    Good Friday Service 7pm

All are encouraged to attend our special Good Friday Service this Friday, March 29 at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary. It will be a service of Tenebrae, which means "darkness". During this solemn worship service we will have communion, we will enjoy special music by our Sanctuary Choir, and we will follow Jesus on his journey to the cross through seven scripture readings. Each of these readings will be concluded with a musical response and the extinguishing of a candle to symbolize Christ's death.

    Ladies's Tea Update

The recent Ladies' Tea sponsored by the women of HOPE was again a huge success. Ladies of all ages came to enjoy tea, sandwiches and a variety of delicious desserts. Grandmothers, mothers, daughters, granddaughters and sisters came and enjoyed fellowship and laughter. This year's tea also began our partnership with The Pajama Program to collect new children's books and new pajamas for children who need them. Sue Myers, the NC Chapter President, was our special guest at the tea and was very impressed and thankful for all the books and pajamas donated by the GFBC congregation.
