Girls in Action - GAs

The Girls in Action's purpose is to help girls learn about what missionaries do, how they live and the culture of different communities around the world.

Typical activities include:

  • An evening and night of fun with the GA Church Lockin.
  • Participate in the Cary/Apex Crop Walk on the first Sunday in October. Money pledged for walking the course is used to allivate hunger locally and worldwide.
  • Collecting canned goods for Campers on Mission, sponsored by the Raleigh Baptist Association, which involves collection of toiletries, food items, and donation of medical and dental skills to aid the carnival workers at the N.C. State Fair.
  • At Christmas the girls collect toiletries for the residents of Chatham Creek. Each resident receives a gift bag with goodies and toiletries.
  • Visit Chatham Creek for BINGO and Christmas tree decorating.
  • A Missionary Tea (ala Lottie Moon)in conjunction with the Acteens.
  • Collect for the Offering to World Missions.
