Unidiversity

The Highlight of the Summer!

Many youth will tell you that Unidiversity is the best thing we do as a youth group.  Unidiversity is a youth camp started several years ago by a group of youth ministers looking for a quality youth camp experience for teens.  Unidiversity strives to encourage youth to find unity through their diversity.  Each year the camp is held on a college campus and youth participate in various college-like experiences such as electives (fun activities such as sports or arts and crafts) and seminars (topical learning sessions focused on the needs of today’s youth).  The youth also participate in small group Bible studies called frasorities (a combination of the words fraternity and sorority).  In addition to these things, worship and church group devotions are a primary focus at Unidiversity.  Each year youth ministers from across the Southeast gather several times throughout the year making preparations for that year’s camp.  Each year the theme, speakers and musicians vary, but one thing remains; the youth have a wonderful week worshipping God and fostering relationships with other youth.  Since Unidiversity has become a family over the years and the youth look forward to seeing friends from the year (or years) before when they get to camp, one minister said that it is like seeing a reunion every year on the first day.  Unidiversity is typically held the second week of July each year so mark your calendars now for this important week in the life of your youth.
