Retreats are an important part of the youth group. On retreats, the youth devote the weekend to worship and discipleship. Along with worship and Bible study, there is plenty of room for fun and fellowship. Retreats are a favorite among the youth group. The youth can go on for hours telling tales of events and excitement from their weekends together. This year’s retreats are scheduled as follows.

Disciple Now

Disciple Now is a weekend retreat focused on discipleship. Our youth will be divided into small groups for the weekend and spend time in Bible study, discussion, and fellowship. Each small group will spend the weekend with a host family and we will come together in a larger group for worship and a mission project. Bible Study leaders will have a chance to spend quality time with the youth by using the small group format. This will be a spiritual weekend that our youth will not forget.

For Disciple Now to work we need people willing to open their homes and be “Host Families”. Host families will host a small group of youth in their home for the weekend. The hosts will serve as “mom and dad” for the groups staying in their home, while the Bible study leaders focus on the spiritual aspects of the weekend. We will also need drivers to help get the youth from the various homes to the church and other locations.
